Real Estate, I can say, is fun, exciting and personally, very altruistic. I have had the pleasure of both working with seasoned second-home buyers as well as paving the way and making the 'american dream' come true for first-time home buyers.

I love all that is real estate. The trends, the constant learning, meeting different people (most of which have turned out to be cool folks) and of course, the properties. I put myself in the buyers shoes in and everytime I step into a home or walk a piece of land or envision the fruits of the investment. I was once an unlicensed buyer and I was looking through the outside in; now I can and so share all of this knowledge with the lucky ones I call my clients. It is no wonder that I was have been a multi-million dollar producer since the inception of my real estate license. It is because of the way I take care of my clients... because it is how I wanted to be taken care of pre-licensure.

Shakti, so glad you started this Blog so all can read the good comments I am sure you will get from your clients, friends and family regarding this Beautiful place called Wilkesboro. My husband and I purchased land in Brushy Mountain a little over a year ago and we were so surprised of the beautiful place, nature,tranquility that we were ready to move from Miami,Florida. As a matter of fact, we are sort of getting ready our family to move to Wilkes County, the only thing holding us back is that our sons one a Sr. in H.S. & the other in College with scholarship so we feel it being selfish to make them change now, but as soon as they leave, we are OUT of MIAMI!!!!! I have nothing but compliments to the service provided by Shakti and Carolina Realty. Shakti is sweet, HONEST, and very professional, you will not go wrong choosing her as your agent and Wilkes County as your home. Good luck and GOD BLESS!

We moved to Davidson, NC, just north of Charlotte in August of 06 from Miami. Shakti was great and extremely patient with us. I basically had her showing us houses through out the whole state and she never complained! Five months after our search we finally found our home and Shakti made it happen for us! We love this area and we are truly blessed to be here.

We had the pleasure of meeting Shakti this past summer when we considered selling our mountain cabin in Boomer and interviewed several area real estate brokers to list it. We were very impressed with Shakti's professional manner, her marketing strategy and her warm and caring attitude. Hello again. I would like to take the time today to share some news of more growth in the county. I am very fond and am also an owners of horses, and although the following is still in the preliminary stages, it goes to show that Wilkes County is always putting its best foot forward.

An article from the Wilkes Journal Patriot, dated 11/23/07, talks about a proposal to create an establishment of an equine and agricultural center. At this point, the efforts have just begun and all is still in the preliminary stages. But the concept includes a coliseum with a full enclosed main arena seating 3,500 to 4,000 people, as well as a smaller arena with covered top and open sides. The goal is to use these as often as possible both for equestrian and livestock events, but also to host circuses and various other events.

The organizers envision this a complex comparable to that of only 3 others in the state, and once completed the complex should have a significant local economic impact due to the number of people it should bring from out of town.
